City Broadband report is upbeat

The city of Antigo’s bet on broadband may have a big payoff.

At Wednesday’s meeting of the Broadband Utility Commission, Mark Dodge of Granite Wireless Inc. presented an upbeat report on its partnership with the city and hinted at a bright future.

“We’ve got Antigo serving as the hub for all kinds of opportunities,” Dodge said, explaining that the service is branching out from the city through a large swath of the northwoods, stretching from Wittenberg to Elcho and White Lake to Merrill.
